This is a little off the beaten path, but I just know if you are anything like me, sometimes you just need something simple and delicious.

Even "Little STRUCTUREbags" loves this recipe, adapted from a cookbook (disclaimer: she is the least picky eater I've ever seen, and has even prompted Pop to say people would pay money to have their kid eat the way she does...). That said, although it is really easy, the result is somewhat elegant.

Easy Slow-Cooker Stroganoff

Ingredients

1 lb. lean round steak, cut in strips or one-inch cubes
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2-10.75 cans of cream of mushroom soup

Optional

sliced, fresh mushrooms
sliced, fresh yellow onion

Place all ingredients in slow-cooker and stir thoroughly.Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours.
Serve over egg noodles, or - our favorite - Uncle Ben's long grain and wild rice. 
Complete your meal with a delicious side salad and enjoy.
