Things are heating up around Hudson Valley and "Little STRUCTUREbags" and I decided we need to get our garden in! Back in April, I had high hopes of planting a garden from seed in a planter I cut and constructed. Alas, travel plans, family life and a little venture called "STRUCTUREbags" got in the way.

So, today we loaded up the car and headed out to by pregrown plants and a wood planter kit. We came home with something a little more compact and high-tech, but it is a perfect fit for our lifestyle. What fun "Little STRUCTUREbags" and I had putting it all together. And it only took about 45 minutes to complete.

Total investment, including plants, organic soil and planter kit: about $80. By the recommendation of our green-thumbed neighbor, I may splurge for the staking attachment.

Soon we hope to have fresh tomatoes, basil, jalapenos, cucumbers and green beans!
