Giving Back

Shaped by its founding location at the United States Military Academy at West Point, STRUCTUREbags is made in the USA and grounded in giving back – to the environment and to those who serve.

How does STRUCTUREbags give via the Camo with a Cause Line?

When you purchase an item from our Camo with a Cause Line, you are donating $1 to aid a military family.

team RWB & Camo with a Cause

In Fall of 2013, STRUCTUREbags announced its strategic partnership with Team Red, White & Blue, a national, non-profit with a mission to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.

STRUCTUREbags will invest $1 per item sold from the Camo with a Cause line in Team RWB’s ongoing social and athletic programs for veterans and their families.

You can learn more about how Team RWB gives back and builds community by viewing Team RWB's terrific video that outlines their mission and approach.

Why military families?

STRUCTUREbags founder and designer, Brenda Guyader, has always considered herself a patriot. It was not until she moved to the United States Military Academy at West Point that she had a truer understanding of the commitment made by our military families.

The men and women at West Point are not only committed to their country – but to each other as well. The bond military families have is strong! And when one family is in need, families around them work together to assist. What better way to say ‘thank you’ to the servicemen and servicewoman – and their families – than to give something back when one of those families has a need?

I love our military, too, but I don’t have a need for a camo bag. How else can I partner with STRUCTUREbags to help support our military?

Our 2013 "Season of Thanks" campaign was a success - thanks to you!  During the month of November you wrote letters to our deployed soldiers and their families to say 'thank you' and we collected, packaged and delivered them - each with our signature Camo Ornament.

Stay tuned for our 2014 campaign. We will be sure to remind our newsletter subscribers in the time leading up to these events.

How else does STRUCTUREbags give back?

When you purchase from any of our lines, you can feel good knowing you purchased an eco-friendly bag:

  • Our Organic Canvas Line uses only organic fabrics inside and out. Some items use fleece interfacing to add structure.
  • We source beautiful vintage and upcycled buttons from small businesses.
  • Our Cadet Grey Line upcycles authentic academy uniforms and pairs them with quality organic cottons and canvases.
  • Our Camo with a Cause Line uses organic canvas backings and organic cotton linings together with a poly/cotton digital camo print.

How often do you make a donation to Team RWB?

STRUCTUREbags make its donation once a year.  Our donation and the amount will be published in our newsletter, blog and on social media. For more information on how we make our donation, please contact STRUCTUREbags.
